HPC Systems Engineer

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for semiconductor manufacturing, is hiring an HPC Systems Engineer in Singapore within its Global Products Group. The LS-SWIFT Division builds patterned wafer inspection systems for high-volume semiconductor manufacturing, and this role supports Windows-based systems used in compute clusters and servers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customised Windows OS images aligned with KLA's hardware and software requirements.
• Use PowerShell scripts to automate and streamline system configuration.
• Apply a test-driven development approach to ensure reliability and maintainability of configurations and scripts.
• Create and maintain documentation for processes, configurations and tools.
• Build diagnostic scripts that integrate with existing diagnostic suites.
• Work with hardware engineering, software development and system integration teams to deploy and support Windows-based systems.
• Take part in team meetings, design reviews and code walkthroughs.

Required profile

• Master's degree with 0 years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred: strong problem-solving and analytical skills, effective communication, self-motivation, hardware troubleshooting experience and comfort in a team setting.

Required skills

• Computer hardware design, especially in compute cluster or server environments.
• Networking design including InfiniBand and Ethernet switches, with port mapping and configuration.
• Modern memory technologies such as DDR4/DDR5, DIMM, LPDDR and HBM.
• Windows OS customisation and image creation.
• PowerShell scripting for automation and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with test-driven development and excellent documentation skills.
