HSE Lead

About the role

Air Liquide Singapore Private Limited (ALSg), the largest industrial gas company in south-east Asia, is hiring an HSE Lead to support the management of its plants, premises and workplaces. The role covers statutory duties, mainly identifying workplace health, safety, environmental and fire safety risks and recommending control measures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct industrial regulatory audits and walk the talk through safety audits.
• Implement and manage company HSE programmes and establish HSE procedures based on regulatory and Air Liquide requirements.
• Maintain ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and SS 651 management systems.
• Support sites in their annual MHD follow-up on Intervention Plans (IP) and Revision Plans (RP).
• Review RA/MOS/SWP of high-risk activities and lead accident and incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Organise company HSE meetings and research and drive HSE best practices.
• Lead programmes to build a safety mindset culture and act as in-house trainer for HSE and IMS training.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response plan (EPRP) drills and maintenance of emergency response equipment.
• Identify HSE improvements, support entity security procedures and keep up with national and group project developments affecting operations.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with the Ministry of Manpower.
• Track record of safety management skills.
• Ability to interpret complex mandatory regulations and their impact on operations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and manage others.

Required skills

• Comprehensive understanding of Singapore HSE regulations, concepts and trends.
• Well versed in ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and GHS.
