Human Resources Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to build and lead the HR function for a fast‑growing technology company in Singapore. The role will be hands‑on, covering everything from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and compliance, while partnering closely with business leaders in Singapore and China.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, recruitment, organization development and people matters.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding as the Singapore team expands to 30 developers and beyond.
• Manage day‑to‑day HR operations in compliance with Singapore employment legislation and MOM requirements, including attendance, overtime, leave, statutory contributions, contracts and payroll policies.
• Proactively handle employee relations, prevent and resolve disputes, and ensure a positive workplace culture.
• Design and administer compensation structures, benefits, annual salary reviews and incentive schemes.
• Drive the performance management cycle, including goal setting, evaluations, feedback and improvement plans.
• Coach line managers on people management and develop the HR team as the business grows.
• Create HR policies, processes and documentation, and lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of HRM experience, preferably in a start‑up environment.
• Broad, hands‑on experience in HR business partnering, operations and employee relations within Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore employment legislation, statutory requirements and MOM processes.
• Proven ability to design compensation and benefits programmes and manage performance cycles.
• Excellent stakeholder management, sound judgement and discretion.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (reading, writing and speaking) to communicate with China‑based stakeholders.
• Independent, proactive and capable of building practical HR processes in a rapidly growing business.
