Inspector - Engine Components

About the role

Gevernova is looking for an Inspector to carry out visual and dimensional inspection of engine components (gas turbine components) according to written work instructions and quality plans.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections and manage the area of the parts
• Ensure proper work clearance and that router documentation and records are complete and correct
• Record incoming conditions of parts accurately so that the scope of work can be determined (Incoming Inspector)
• Ensure finished parts meet specification requirements (Final Inspector)
• Prevent non-conforming parts from moving to the next workstation
• Support Manufacturing and Quality Engineers with evaluations and audits, and share inspection data and feedback
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and housekeeping, and support other departments as assigned

Required profile

• GCE O' Level or equivalent with 3 years of quality inspection experience, or GCE A' Level or equivalent with 2 years
• NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, or other recognised technical training or certification (case by case)
• Desirable: diploma in Mechanical and/or Aircraft Engineering
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Team player

Required skills

• Knowledge of flaws and defects
• Use of precision measuring instruments
• Ability to read blueprints
• QC experience in repair or manufacturing
• Microsoft Office computer literacy
