Intern, Corporate Sector Lending

About the role

ING's Corporate Sector Lending team supports the Corporate Sector Clients team in executing lending transactions end to end and manages a loan portfolio across several countries and industries. This is a six-month full-time internship starting in January 2027, giving exposure to the full lifecycle of corporate lending, from credit assessment and deal execution to portfolio management and monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Help prepare financial analysis of obligors, including financial tables, business profiles, industry and peer analysis
• Enter financial data and run ratings on proprietary systems
• Prepare overdue credit and rating reports, overdue covenant reports and other ad hoc reports
• Update and build financial models

Required profile

• Legal work rights in the country of internship
• Strong analytical and financial skills, with ability to update and build financial models; accounting knowledge is very helpful
• Ability to multitask across assignments and projects
• 'Hands-on', 'can do' mentality, good communication and teamwork

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Financial modelling
