Intern, Debt Capital Markets APAC

About the role

ING's Wholesale Banking business in Asia Pacific covers 11 markets, including Singapore, which is the regional headquarters for its Wholesale Banking business. The Debt Capital Markets team helps APAC clients structure and raise debt financing through investment grade and high yield bonds, giving sovereign, corporate and financial institution issuers access to a pool of global fixed income investors. This is a six-month full-time internship starting in January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Provide analytical, research and execution support to the Debt Capital Markets team for external and internal client requests.
• Prepare client pitching materials, weekly primary market and pricing updates, and carry out detailed analysis for specific client needs.
• Support live transactions and build technical skills, including internal approval memos, documentation, joint arrangers and legal coordination, marketing materials, syndicate coordination and post-deal closing.
• Support compliance and finance processes for deal management and prepare internal strategy presentations as needed.

Required profile

• Solid background in accounting and finance.
• Analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple parties.
• Strong motivation and good team player.
• Preference for candidates available for a 6-month internship.
