Intern, Global Research (APAC Economics)

About the role

ING's Wholesale Bank Asia Pacific internship programme (2027) offers a 6-month internship in its Research team, running from January to June. The intern joins the APAC research team, made up of economists covering regional economies and a commodities strategist, and gains hands-on experience in an international organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Help the APAC research team with data management and the publication of reports
• Support market update calls
• Assist with regular client, internal and media requests
• Contribute to in-depth thematic research projects

Required profile

• Legal work rights in Singapore
• Self-motivated and interested in economics and markets
• Innovative, proactive and willing to engage with colleagues
• Proficiency in spoken and written English (mandatory)

Required skills

• Prior knowledge of financial databases such as Bloomberg and CEIC is advantageous but not mandatory
