About the role

ING's Wholesale Bank Asia internship programme (2027) offers a 6-month placement in the Rates Trading team of its Financial Markets division, based in Singapore. The desk provides pricing and liquidity in interest rate derivatives to corporate clients and to regional desks in Seoul, Shanghai, Manila and Taipei, covering interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps and FX forwards/swaps in G10 and other Asian currencies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day tasks such as risk checks, reporting and cash management.
• Work closely with traders to support risk management, trading strategies and P&L calculations.
• Maintain and improve existing files and processes, possibly as part of larger desk projects.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in the country of internship.
• Self-driven learner interested in process improvement.
• Intermediate understanding of global financial markets and a basic understanding of derivatives.

Required skills

• Strong command of Excel; VBA is a big plus (e.g. nested logic functions, lookups).
