Intern - Visual Arts (6 Months)

About the role

A 6-month internship for a Visual Arts intern supporting Singapore Art Week. The intern provides on-site operational support for key programmes and events, helps with the marketing and communications campaign, maintains programme information and supports the Visual Arts team's wider research and data work.

Key responsibilities

• Support on-site operations for Singapore Art Week events such as the Opening Reception, SAW Forum, media events and precinct activations, including registration, guest management, wayfinding, programme coordination and documentation.
• Help plan and deliver the marketing and communications campaign, including publicity materials, social media content, electronic direct mailers and website updates.
• Coordinate and maintain programme and event information across arts groups, partners and cultural institutions, including data collation, verification and database management.
• Support the Visual Arts team's wider projects, including research, data collation, analysis and visualisation of visual arts statistics, and other coordination and administrative duties.

Required profile

• Preference for candidates who can start immediately and commit until at least February 2027; availability during Singapore Art Week in January 2027, including some evenings and weekends, is essential.
• Polytechnic diploma, A Levels or above.
• Interest in visual arts, festival programming, marketing and arts management.
• Interest in research and data analysis; prior experience is an advantage.
• Some experience supporting visual arts exhibitions or initiatives, including administrative support, is required at minimum.
• Organised, detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, proactive, able to work independently and a good team player.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Comfortable working with website content management systems.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design is a bonus.
