Intern, Working Capital Solutions

About the role

ING is offering a 6-month internship (January to June 2027) in its Working Capital Solutions team within Transaction Services, part of the Trade Centre of Expertise. The team structures and provides working capital financing solutions (receivables and payables-based) for corporate clients, working with sales colleagues across Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas. The internship covers the lifecycle of a new or existing transaction, from inception to the first drawdown.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse clients' financial statements to produce an internal credit rating used to set credit appetite and pricing
• Analyse receivables portfolios and cash conversion cycles to identify working capital needs and opportunities
• Help structure and formulate trade solutions to meet client needs
• Create commercial presentations explaining the proposed solution to clients
• Draft commercial green light requests and credit proposals, and support the drafting of legal documents such as receivables purchase agreements, risk participation agreements and payment service agreements
• Support transaction management of existing programmes, including funding requests, monitoring of funded assets and settlement reconciliation
• Support annual reviews of existing programmes

Required profile

• Critically minded, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Hands-on, willing to learn and able to handle stress
• Able to work autonomously on several projects at once
• Good communicator and team player
• Prior experience in credit and/or financial analysis and financial accounting is a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in PowerPoint
