Internal Audit Manager - FinCrime

About the role

Wise is looking for an Internal Audit Manager (FinCrime) to join its specialist FinCrime team within Wise Internal Audit. The team has a global remit and works with regional teams, and the role is based in Singapore. The main task is completing financial crime internal audits, while planning, assigning and supervising the team's operational activities and making recommendations to improve governance, risk management and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Complete financial crime internal audits, including design and operating effectiveness testing and issue validation testing of implemented control improvements
• Plan, assign and supervise the team's operational activities and oversee other team members
• Support the implementation and operation of the internal audit assurance framework and deliver audits per the audit plan
• Monitor the implementation of Internal Audit recommendations and measure the effectiveness of improvements
• Build a strong, self-sufficient internal audit team and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

Required profile

• Proven experience in risk, control or assurance roles, leading others to deliver high-quality audits or projects including control testing
• Professional qualification such as CAMS, CFE, ICA certification/diploma or CIA
• Experience testing financial crime controls in regulated environments, fintech or financial services
• Strong experience in financial crime topics: FinCrime risk management, KYC/KYB, enhanced due diligence, fraud, transaction monitoring, screening and reporting
• Good understanding of the financial crime regulatory environment, including CDSA, FSMA, Wolfsberg guidance and MAS guidance
• Able to work independently, take ownership of complex areas and hold teams accountable for deadlines

Required skills

• Planning and scoping audits, designing and executing risk-based test plans and writing clear reports
• Use of data analytics and technology in audit work; practical experience in data analytics preferred
• Attention to detail, concise communication and adaptability to change
