International Tax Manager – AWS Business

About the role

Amazon is seeking an International Tax Manager to join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) team in Singapore. The role focuses on shaping tax policy and providing tax solutions for AWS’s high‑growth business, supporting current and future offerings across the APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct tax expertise (CIT, withholding tax) on AWS initiatives, including business development, finance, marketing, legal and product groups.
• Develop end‑to‑end tax requirements, covering tax structuring, invoicing, service characterization and taxability.
• Participate in projects from planning through delivery, researching advanced e‑commerce tax implications and modeling outcomes.
• Collaborate with global tax teams to ensure cross‑functional tax solutions and coordinate compliance documentation.
• Communicate tax implications to internal stakeholders and support tax‑related queries and projects.

Required profile

• Strong background in international corporate tax, preferably with experience in direct tax matters such as corporate income tax and withholding tax.
• Understanding of indirect tax concepts and their impact on cloud‑based services.
• Ability to work closely with diverse business teams and translate complex tax issues into practical solutions.
• Experience in a high‑growth, technology‑focused environment is advantageous.
