Investment Management Counsel / Senior Associate

About the role

Morgan Lewis is seeking a highly qualified senior associate or counsel to join its fast‑growing investment management practice in Singapore. The role offers ownership of fund formation matters and direct client interaction, with a clear path toward a senior, client‑facing position.

Key responsibilities

• Advise fund managers on the formation of private investment funds across private equity, venture capital, credit, real estate and related structures.
• Draft and negotiate limited partnership agreements (LPAs) and side letters.
• Manage matters from instruction to completion, making independent judgments on partner involvement.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high‑quality service with minimal supervision.
• Contribute to practice building and business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience advising on private fund formation and structuring.
• Demonstrated depth in LPA drafting, side‑letter negotiation, and fund structuring.
• Ability to run matters independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong organisational, drafting, communication and analytical abilities.
• Admission to the Singapore Bar preferred; candidates qualified in other common‑law jurisdictions (US/UK) with the right to work in Singapore will also be considered.
