IT Project Group Manager, Senior Vice President

About the role

Citi is recruiting an IT Project Group Manager (Senior Vice President) in Singapore. The role supports the International Technology Regulatory Governance and Oversight team, which prepares materials for senior management and governance reporting and handles regulatory queries. It covers the regulatory aspects of international regulatory individual accountability regimes for Technology, including governance and documentation such as Regulatory Job Profiles and Statements of Responsibilities. The manager leads and directs a team of professionals, manages complex and critical projects, and is accountable for the end results of the area.

Key responsibilities

• Own all technology components of the development and implementation of major, multiple and highly complex projects.
• Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
• Provide strategic direction for projects and set staffing guidelines to meet operational needs.
• Control resources, manage budgets and plan, influencing the IT project leadership function.
• Evaluate subordinates' performance and make decisions on pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions.
• Ensure procedures are followed, contribute to defining standards and understand how IT project leadership fits into the wider technology function.
• Negotiate with senior leaders across functions and may communicate externally; about 25% of time is spent on wider International Technology work.
• Assess risk, uphold compliance with laws, rules and regulations, protect the firm's reputation and escalate control issues transparently.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in a related technology role with commensurate people management experience.
• Bachelor's or university degree or equivalent experience, potentially a Master's degree.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills, including negotiation at a senior level.
• In-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions and of the industry.
