IT Security Engineer (PaloAlto, Checkpoint, F5)

About the role

The IT Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining security and application delivery solutions across our client environment in Singapore. You will work directly with customers to ensure security policies and load‑balancing services meet business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls, including policy design, App‑ID/User‑ID/Content‑ID management and IPS/IDS configuration.
• Use Panorama and SmartDashboard for centralized policy updates and multi‑cluster management.
• Configure F5 BIG‑IP LTM for traffic steering, virtual servers, pools and health monitors.
• Perform firmware and OS upgrades (PAN‑OS, Gaia, TMOS) and apply hot‑fixes during maintenance windows.
• Lead root‑cause analysis using packet captures (Wireshark, tcpdump) and support disaster‑recovery testing for high‑availability failover.

• Strong understanding of challenges in the IT security domain.
