IT Support / Desktop Engineer – 12‑hour Shift

About the role

We are looking for a proactive IT Support / Desktop Engineer to join our team on a 12‑hour shift basis. You will be the first point of contact for users experiencing hardware or software issues and will ensure smooth operation of their technical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with hardware and software systems.
• Consult with users over the phone, in person, or via online chat to understand and troubleshoot problems.
• Identify when system reconfiguration is required and implement the changes.
• Assess user needs and recommend solutions such as patches, upgrades, or enhancements.
• Document support procedures and maintain accurate customer records.
• Respond promptly to queries and provide guidance on installation, maintenance, and use of technical systems.
• Perform complete on‑site installations, including data backup, system upgrades, and installation of new software or hardware.

Required profile

• Experience diagnosing and fixing hardware and software issues.
• Strong communication skills for phone, face‑to‑face, and chat support.
• Ability to assess technical needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Attention to detail in documentation and record‑keeping.
