Java Microservices API Developer (Contract)

About the role

A leading insurance technology transformation project in Singapore is looking for a Java Microservices API developer on a temporary contract. The role covers building and maintaining Java-based microservices and APIs on AWS, working closely with DevOps, QA, architects and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Java-based microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x
• Build, deploy and maintain applications on AWS (ECS, EC2, RDS)
• Integrate with enterprise systems such as MuleSoft and Okta
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and AWS tools
• Optimise SQL/Oracle database performance and application scalability
• Monitor, troubleshoot and support production systems with Grafana and CloudWatch

Required profile

• 7+ years of Java backend development experience
• Experience with Okta, MuleSoft and cloud deployment practices

Required skills

• Java 17+, Spring Boot 3.x, microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs
• AWS (ECS, EC2, RDS)
• CI/CD, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline/CodeCommit
