Junior Chemist / Chemist (Pharma)

About the role

ALST is hiring a Junior Chemist or Chemist for its pharmaceutical testing business in Singapore. The role covers sample preparation, pharmaceutical analysis of raw materials and the operation and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare samples and standards for analysis.
• Carry out pharmaceutical analyses of raw materials using EP, USP, FCC, JSQI, JSCI, ACS and in-house methods.
• Operate and maintain instrumentation.
• Maintain relevant documentation.
• Perform any other duties assigned when required.
• Ensure all work and reporting of results follow Quality, Work and HSE procedures and requirements.

Required profile

• Degree or Master's in Pharmacy, Chemistry or a related field.
• Experience is an added advantage.
• Strong working knowledge of regulatory compliance standards.
• Good analytical skills and ability to work independently.
• High attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Able to start work on short notice preferred.
• Citizen or permanent resident of the country of application, or able to obtain a valid working visa.
