KYC Operations Analyst/Associate (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Analyst or Associate to join the KYC Operations team at Maybank Securities on a contract basis. The role focuses on client onboarding and Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) processes, working closely with business, compliance and operations teams to ensure regulatory standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client profiles to determine required KYC information.
• Support collection and review of KYC documentation for new and existing clients across individuals, corporates, funds and financial institutions.
• Conduct preliminary due‑diligence checks, name screening, background checks and basic risk assessments in line with AML/CFT/CPF guidelines.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and clients to obtain documents and resolve KYC‑related queries.
• Track onboarding pipelines, monitor outstanding items and periodic review schedules.
• Escalate KYC deficiencies or red flags to senior team members.
• Maintain documentation, data matrices and ensure data integrity across internal systems.
• Participate in process‑improvement discussions to enhance operational efficiency.

Required profile

• 1–4 years of experience in KYC/CDD or client onboarding (Analyst 1–2 years, Associate 3–4 years).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and compliance‑oriented attitude.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with both clients and internal teams.
• Proactive, team‑player attitude with willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data tracking and basic analysis.
