Lab Technician

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is looking for a Lab Technician in Singapore. The role covers preparing and testing metallographic and chemical samples, running mechanical and chemical tests, and supporting lab equipment maintenance and related administrative work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare metallographic and chemical samples using analytical tools to evaluate coating, structural and chemical quality.
• Perform related mechanical and chemical tests.
• Ensure turnaround time of lab analysis meets requirements.
• Assist in waste store management and support Total Preventive Maintenance for lab equipment.
• Assist with purchasing administration such as RFQ, PR and PO issuance.
• Solve technical issues as they arise in daily work.
• Take part in continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
• Comply with the EH&S, Quality and Ethics Code of Conduct.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Aerospace-related engineering, or equivalent.
• Candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply, as training will be provided.
• Able to work night and rotating shifts, including rotational weekends and overtime.
• Preferred: at least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
