Lab Technologist – Training Provided

About the role

Our client, a multinational manufacturing company, is seeking a Lab Technologist to join their laboratory team. The role supports ongoing transformation projects and offers on‑the‑job training to develop expertise in paint and coating testing.

Key responsibilities

• Support R&D laboratory activities such as formulation, panel preparation, application testing, product evaluation and benchmarking.
• Assist in field trials, product applications and inspections under supervision.
• Conduct laboratory testing and analysis, including sampling, measurement, recording and reporting of paint test results.
• Provide support to chemists on product development projects and maintain laboratory housekeeping, inventory control and general lab operations.
• Keep the line manager informed of project progress, test results and any delays.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, environmental regulations, laboratory procedures and workplace safety, including safe handling of chemicals.

Required profile

• Diploma in a chemical‑related field.
• 1–2 years of laboratory or QA experience in a relevant industry.
