About the role
SGS, a global Testing, Inspection and Certification company with laboratories in more than 115 countries, is hiring a Laboratory Analyst in Singapore. The analyst tests consumer, retail, food, environmental and health samples and helps run the laboratory's daily operations in line with ISO 17025.
Key responsibilities
- Test consumer, retail, food, environmental and health samples according to international standards or in-house methods.
- Help organise and maintain the day-to-day running of the laboratory and take part in technical functions under ISO 17025.
- Perform bench-based chemical laboratory testing.
- Ensure equipment is qualified and maintained on schedule, and carry out regular checks of chemicals and consumables.
- Promote good housekeeping and a safe working system.
Required profile
- NITEC in Biology, Chemistry or equivalent.
- Able to maintain high quality standards, good turnaround time and on-time delivery.
- Able to work independently and coordinate several activities at once.
- Works well under pressure and challenges the status quo.
- Advantage: prior laboratory experience.
