LCMS Scientist

About the role

Labcorp, a global leader in laboratory services, is seeking an LCMS Scientist to join its team in Singapore. The role covers analytical testing, data quality control, method development and validation, and can involve leading a small group of technical staff under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Organize, conduct and evaluate analytical results and testing, and maintain study documentation and laboratory records.
• Set up, maintain and operate general equipment independently, including routine and non-routine maintenance and problem resolution.
• Review data for quality control and report problems or deviations to the Study Director, Principal Investigator or management, taking part in corrective actions.
• Develop and validate methods for various analytes in different matrices, and perform complex analyses with new methods, asking for guidance when needed.
• Suggest improvements to test methods and procedures, and write SOPs and methods.
• Assist in project planning, reporting and protocol writing, and act as lead chemist on projects, overseeing a small group of technical staff.
• Train and mentor less experienced staff, and ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Take part in equipment qualification, client visits, process improvement and data evaluation for reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical analysis, chemistry, analytical chemistry or another relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience in quantitative chemical analysis.
• Able to work in a team-centric setting, with effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Mon-Fri 9am-6pm; overtime depends on workload and business demands.

Preferred qualifications

• 3+ years of quantitative analysis of clinical samples using LC-MS.
• 3+ years of hands-on sample extraction with PPT, LLE and SPE.
• 3+ years of experience with analytical equipment and troubleshooting.
