Lead Data & Integration Engineer

About the role

Encora is seeking a Lead Data & Integration Engineer to drive the design and implementation of data movement and integration solutions across its DataLake ecosystem in Singapore. The role focuses on translating business requirements into robust data flows, supporting GenAI data preparation, and ensuring reliable delivery across multiple teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements, create data flow diagrams, and define data contracts with upstream and downstream teams.
• Design and implement integration solutions using REST APIs, SFTP, batch pipelines, and file‑based transfers, coordinating across Informatica, Cloudera and related platforms.
• Prepare structured and unstructured data for GenAI use cases, including document ingestion, aggregation, enrichment, and transformation.
• Support system integration testing (SIT, UAT) and production rollouts, ensuring error handling, monitoring, and clear documentation of flows and mappings.
• Collaborate with data platform, application, infrastructure, and security teams to maintain integration reliability.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in system analysis, integration engineering, or data engineering.
• Proven ability to translate requirements into system and data flow designs and to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong SQL knowledge and practical Python scripting skills for data handling and automation.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms such as Informatica or Cloudera and with version control (Git) and CI/CD processes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to challenge weak designs.
