About the role

The Lead SEO Strategist will head a team of SEO specialists within a fast‑growing digital marketing agency. You will shape and execute comprehensive SEO programmes for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring measurable performance and alignment with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of SEO specialists to meet performance targets.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end SEO strategies, covering on‑page, off‑page and technical optimisation.
• Drive Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives by tailoring content for AI‑driven search platforms such as ChatGPT and other large language model environments.
• Conduct thorough site audits, translate findings into actionable roadmaps and oversee backlink acquisition.
• Manage client engagements, deliver presentations, reporting and ensure SEO/GEO strategies support client objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of SEO experience with proven leadership or team‑management responsibilities.
• Deep knowledge of technical, on‑page and off‑page SEO, including audit processes and link‑building.
• Familiarity with AI search ecosystems and GEO concepts across platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI.
• Experience handling multiple client accounts and collaborating with sales, account management and creative teams.
