Lecturer, Common Business Programme (Accounting)

About the role

Republic Polytechnic's School of Business is recruiting a Lecturer for its Common Business Programme. The role centres on nurturing future-ready graduates through authentic, learner-centred education and close industry collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging, experiential learning using the university's Problem-Based Learning (PBL) pedagogy and other learner-centred approaches.
• Contribute to programme development, quality assurance, academic administration and continuous improvement.
• Design, develop, review and deliver industry-relevant curricula for the accounting profession.
• Build partnerships with industry for curriculum innovation, internships, student industry projects and capability development.
• Mentor students academically, professionally and personally, including coaching student teams and overseeing internships and projects.
• Teach in one or more of: Financial and Management Accounting, Audit & Assurance, Taxation, Sustainable Finance, ESG & Sustainability Reporting, AI & Digital Technologies in Accounting, Risk, Regulatory Compliance and Corporate Governance, and Business Law and Company Law.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications in accounting or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA Singapore, ICAEW, CPA Australia or equivalent are preferred.
• At least 5 years of industry experience in accounting, audit, taxation, sustainability reporting, risk management or regulatory compliance.
• Experience in teaching, curriculum development or training is an advantage.
