Lecturer - Facility Management

About the role

ITE College West is recruiting a Lecturer in Facility Management and Engineering/Built Environment. Beyond teaching, the lecturer plays a key role in recognising and nurturing students' potential and lifelong learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality lectures, seminars and practical sessions in facility management and the built environment.
• Mentor students in their academic and professional development, including competitions, projects and industry placements.
• Design and oversee industry-relevant projects and consultancy work so students gain hands-on experience.
• Collaborate with industry partners to keep the curriculum relevant and create internship and placement opportunities.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies and best practices and reflect them in teaching and curriculum.
• Take part in academic administration such as curriculum design, assessment development and student advisement.
• Contribute to outreach activities like recruitment events, industry forums and professional development workshops.

Required profile

• Training in Engineering, Built Environment and/or Facilities Management.
• Relevant certifications such as CFME, WSHO, FSM and/or BIM credentials are highly regarded.
• Substantial hands-on experience in facility management with a strong industry track record.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for teaching and mentoring.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and build partnerships with industry, academics and the community.
• Proactive approach to continuous professional development.
