Lecturer (FinTech) - School of Infocomm

About the role

The School of Infocomm at Republic Polytechnic is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual who can work well in a team. You will support full-time and part-time courses in Financial Technology (FinTech), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Analytics, Digital Payments, Financial Systems, Automation, Blockchain and other foundational ICT modules.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and administer modules, including student assessments and assignments, to achieve learning outcomes.
• Plan, design and develop curriculum, learning activities and teaching materials.
• Stay up to date with developments in AI, FinTech and the wider technology and education landscape through engagement with industry and professional communities.
• Maintain industry links and collaborate with industry partners to keep the curriculum relevant.
• Contribute to applied research, consultancy, innovation projects and industry partnerships in AI, FinTech, digital transformation and emerging technologies.
• Support students' learning, career development, internships, industry projects and other experiential learning.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Financial Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
• Preferred: genuine passion for teaching, mentoring and pastoral care, and the ability to build strong industry partnerships for students.

Required skills

• AI, generative AI, machine learning, data analytics or intelligent automation.
• Digital payments, financial systems, open banking, embedded finance, regtech or financial crime technologies.
• Programming such as Python, Java, Spring, JavaScript or Node.js.
• Blockchain concepts, smart contracts, APIs, DevOps, CI/CD and application development.
• Implementation experience in FinTech, AI, data analytics, digital transformation or software development.
