Lecturer (Foundational Studies)

About the role

The Centre for Foundational Studies at Republic Polytechnic is recruiting a Lecturer in Foundational Studies. Successful candidates may be appointed to one or more teaching areas depending on their qualifications, expertise and organisational needs, including Critical Thinking and Innovation, Communication and Public Speaking, Social Impact, and Mathematics and/or Biology for the Polytechnic Foundation Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate student learning and contribute to the design, development and continuous improvement of curricula, assessments and learning resources.
• Design and deliver engaging lessons and co-curricular activities that support holistic student development.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment that supports diverse learners.
• Foster meaningful discussion, diverse perspectives and links between classroom learning and real-world applications.
• Collaborate with module teams to share good practice and improve teaching quality.
• Provide academic guidance, coaching and pastoral care for students' educational, personal and career development.
• Contribute to action research, pedagogical innovation and institutional initiatives, while handling administrative duties supporting the Centre.
