Lecturer - Tourism Services (2-Year Contract)

About the role

ITE College West is recruiting a Lecturer in Tourism Services on a 2-year contract. Beyond teaching and supporting students' lifelong learning, the lecturer carries out industry or consultancy projects to stay current with industry change and keeps strong links with industry and schools. Regular industry attachments or experience are available to update professional knowledge and practice.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate learning in tourism-related subjects
• Carry out industry or consultancy projects to stay relevant in the profession
• Maintain strong linkages with industry and schools
• Take part in regular industry attachments or experience to update skills and practices

Required profile

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in fields such as travel and tourism, tourism technology, hospitality solutions, tourism analytics, leisure and resort management, online travel agencies, tourism digital transformation, business administration, behavioural insights, experiential marketing, MICE, market intelligence, social media strategy or other emerging technology fields
• Able to teach in at least two of the listed subjects
• Relevant training and good presentation skills are preferred

Required skills

• Teaching ability in at least two of: Tourism Conservation and Sustainability, Destination Geography, Ticketing and Admission, Tour Planning and Operations, Attractions Operations, Resort Management, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, Market and Artificial Intelligence

Candidates with good and relevant experience may be considered for Senior Lecturer or equivalent positions, with career development toward leadership roles in the colleges or headquarters. Applicants can check their application status after 8 weeks from the closing date.
