Legal & Compliance Executive / Senior Executive / Assistant Manager (Disputes & Regulatory)

About the role

Singapore Airlines is hiring for a Legal & Compliance position within its Corporate Planning Division. The successful candidate will handle litigation and dispute resolution matters and advise on regulatory compliance, including sanctions and anti-bribery issues.

Key responsibilities

• Litigation and dispute resolution: manage actual and potential civil litigation involving SIA in Singapore and overseas, including internal reviews and investigations, and manage outside counsel
• Work with internal clients in Singapore and overseas on passenger claims
• Advise on compliance with aviation consumer protection legislation and regulations globally, and on investigations by regulatory authorities
• Advise on compliance with production orders and requests from law enforcement and regulatory authorities in Singapore and overseas
• Sanctions and anti-bribery / anti-corruption: advise on compliance with sanctions and anti-bribery / anti-corruption laws, review contractual terms relating to them, and draft and review related policies and procedures

Required profile

• A law degree
• At least three years of legal experience from a law firm or in-house
• Experience handling litigation matters (aviation or cross-border litigation experience preferred)
• Knowledge of sanctions / anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws and regulations
• Excellent contract drafting skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team player, and to communicate effectively in a dynamic environment
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm to excel
• Admission to the Singapore Bar is not required
