Legal Counsel – Global Forwarding (Asia)

About the role

Toll Group is seeking a proactive, commercially‑minded Legal Counsel to support its Global Forwarding business across the Asia region. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel – Global Forwarding, you will work closely with business leaders and cross‑functional teams to manage legal risk, enable commercial objectives, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical legal advice to the Global Forwarding business in Asia and other regions as needed.
• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements in line with company policies.
• Deliver jurisdiction‑specific legal guidance and support to business stakeholders.
• Manage claims, disputes and litigation matters, coordinating with external counsel and preparing case updates for senior leadership.
• Support corporate governance and regulatory compliance frameworks in collaboration with the Corporate Secretary and Legal leadership.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting transport, logistics and forwarding.
• Develop and deliver legal training programmes on contract negotiation, claims management, competition law and anti‑corruption compliance.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in commercial and corporate law.
• Proven ability to provide commercial‑focused legal advice in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.
• Experience in dispute resolution, litigation management and working with external counsel.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance and industry‑specific legal developments.
