Legal Counsel – Investments

About the role

Join a fast‑growing legal team in Singapore as a Legal Counsel focused on investments. You will support a global business that operates across multiple asset classes, handling transactions such as private equity, venture capital, and general M&A.

Key responsibilities

• Lead corporate transactional work, including M&A, joint ventures, and investment‑driven projects.
• Provide commercial guidance and ad‑hoc support for investment opportunities across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
• Collaborate closely with investment teams to shape business strategy and implement ideas.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements throughout all transactions.

Required profile

• 6–12 years of post‑qualification experience (PQE) in a tier‑1 law firm.
• Training and experience in private equity, venture capital, and M&A transactions.
• Education from a tier‑1 university with overseas experience.
• MBA, Masters, or equivalent business‑related experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively within a small‑to‑mid‑size team in Singapore and coordinate with overseas stakeholders.

Required skills

• Corporate law expertise, particularly in M&A, joint ventures, and investment transactions.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks.
• Commercial acumen to advise on transaction structures.
