Legal Counsel

About the role

The Legal Counsel will work closely with the Senior Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support for the organisation's activities across the region. This role involves advising on legal matters arising from business projects, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Report to and collaborate with the Senior Legal Counsel on regional legal matters.
• Consider and advise on legal issues stemming from business activities and projects.
• Identify, assess, and manage risks in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Draft, review, and negotiate third‑party, outsourcing, and investment management agreements.
• Manage external counsel engagements when required.
• Collaborate with the global Legal team on group‑wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Law degree with Singapore qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Knowledge and experience in the financial industry; asset‑management background is a plus.
• Strong analytical ability and understanding of risk management.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Chinese proficiency is advantageous.
