About the role
The Land Transport Authority is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its Land & International Rail and Infrastructure, Technology & Cybersecurity divisions. You will provide legal advice that underpins Singapore’s major construction projects, cross‑border rail initiatives, and emerging digital transport systems.
Key responsibilities
- Research and render legal opinions on statutory interpretation, compensation claims and cross‑border rail agreements.
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts related to land acquisition, infrastructure construction and technology deployments.
- Advise on regulatory compliance, including Singapore’s cybersecurity framework and land transport legislation.
- Contribute to the preparation of gazette notices and subsidiary legislation.
- Support dispute resolution for project delays, cost variations and liability for defects.
Required profile
- Qualified lawyer with experience in public law, land law or infrastructure‑related matters.
- Familiarity with Singapore’s land transport legislative framework is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with policy, operations and contracts teams.
