Legal Counsel (NQ+, 0-2 years experience)

About the role

Finalto is seeking a newly qualified Legal Counsel to join its small, collaborative legal team. You will work across its global liquidity and trading technology business, providing commercial legal advice to a range of internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clear, timely legal advice on IP, contract law, financial services regulation, disputes, governance and related matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents with technology, marketing, financial services and vendor partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with business functions across the organisation.
• Provide corporate legal support alongside the existing legal team.
• Drive efficiency by adopting AI tools such as Co‑pilot and ChatGPT.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with up to two years post‑qualification experience, eligible to practice in Singapore and/or Australia.
• Hands‑on experience in the financial services sector through in‑house work, secondments or regulator exposure.
• Experience handling commercial contracts, IT, data protection, IP, employment, disputes/litigation and corporate matters.
• Solid understanding of the regulatory landscape for investment firms and major regulatory initiatives.
• Interest in scaling legal operations using AI and automation tools.
