Legal Operations Practice Manager

About the role

Sterlington PLLC seeks a Legal Operations Practice Manager to lead AI‑driven workflow innovation and oversee the execution layer of its high‑volume Corporate and M&A practice. Working remotely on Eastern Standard Time, you will ensure that complex, multi‑party transactions move smoothly, with clear visibility and control.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test, and refine AI‑enabled processes to improve matter tracking, document summarization, and internal coordination.
• Maintain end‑to‑end visibility of all active matters, monitoring status, timelines, dependencies, and client commitments.
• Coordinate across attorneys, co‑counsel, clients, and external parties, acting as the primary liaison for the managing partner.
• Prepare concise, decision‑ready summaries and status updates for senior leadership.
• Identify and resolve potential gaps, misalignments, or delays before they impact delivery.
• Support pipeline visibility and ensure timely escalation of issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in legal operations, project management, or a similar high‑stakes environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate risks and drive proactive solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting.
