Logistics Associate (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Woodlands Hospital is hiring a Logistics Associate to cover maternity leave, working in the Unit Dose Repackaging Pharmacy (UDP). The role assists pharmacists, the pharmacy executive and pharmacy technicians in running the UDP, and covers the period from 26 October to 27 June (39 weeks).

Key responsibilities

• Learn to use the automation machines in the UDP as part of the Inpatient Pharmacy Automation System and perform simple troubleshooting.
• Repackage medication and carry out quality checks according to work instructions and procedures.
• Receive, unpack and check incoming stock against documents so items are correct and accounted for.
• Arrange stock in FEFO order on shelves and record receipts, issues and transfers in the inventory system.
• Help maintain inventory of stocks and consumables, run cycle counts and take part in stocktakes.
• Pick medications for daily top-ups of the Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) and check and cycle count ADCs in wards and operating theatres.
• Answer telephone enquiries from hospital staff about repackaging issues and liaise with external vendors on outsourced repackaging schedules.
• Keep work areas clean, including the automation machines, and support hospital activities such as QC, community projects and staff welfare events.

Required profile

• Minimum of GCE "O" or "N" levels.
• Availability for the full maternity cover period of 39 weeks.
