Looker Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Looker Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable business intelligence solutions on Google Cloud. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to turn complex data sets into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end BI architectures using Looker and GCP.
• Build and maintain semantic data models, governed datasets, and reusable reporting layers.
• Create complex, multi‑page dashboards with drill‑down, KPI, and performance‑optimisation features.
• Optimise query performance and reporting latency through BigQuery tuning and BI Engine.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into visual analytics.
• Enforce data‑governance, security, and version‑control best practices.
• Partner with data engineering teams to ensure accurate data integration.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support for testing and production roll‑outs.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in BI, analytics or data engineering.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Looker / Looker Studio.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior staff.
