Executive – IT & AV Management for University Library

About the role

The Executive will ensure seamless management and support of IT equipment and end‑user devices for library staff, users, and events. The role combines equipment lifecycle oversight, technical assistance, asset record keeping, and collaboration with IT specialists to enrich learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Renew, upgrade, deploy and manage IT and AV devices (PCs, laptops, AV equipment, library peripherals).
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end‑user equipment and library peripherals.
• Liaise with vendors and internal IT teams for maintenance, repairs and replacements.
• Assist with procurement, receiving, storage and secure disposal of equipment, maintaining accurate inventory and service history.
• Prepare library venues for training sessions and events, offering logistical support.
• Support backend systems such as Library Management Systems, digital repositories and database servers, including upgrades and migrations.
• Ensure integration with university‑wide IT infrastructure, manage access controls and comply with data protection policies.
• Document procedures and provide technical training to library staff.

Required profile

• Experience in managing IT and AV equipment in an institutional setting.
• Ability to coordinate procurement, asset tracking and secure disposal processes.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with vendors, IT specialists and library staff.
• Familiarity with library operations and event support.
