M&A Associate – Southeast Asia Investment Banking

About the role

Our client, a leading global investment bank, is seeking an Associate / AVP to join its Southeast Asia M&A team. The role involves working on high‑profile cross‑border and domestic transactions across multiple sectors, providing advisory services on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and strategic reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Support execution of buy‑side, sell‑side, merger and divestiture transactions across Southeast Asia.
• Build and review complex financial models, valuation and merger analyses, and prepare transaction materials.
• Prepare pitch books, board materials, information memorandums and client deliverables.
• Coordinate due‑diligence processes and manage interactions with clients, legal counsel and other advisors.
• Conduct industry, company and market research to support execution and origination.
• Assist senior bankers in client relationship management and business development.
• Mentor junior team members where appropriate.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of relevant M&A, investment banking or corporate finance experience.
• Proven end‑to‑end transaction execution experience, including origination support through signing.
• Experience working on cross‑border transactions and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Strong academic credentials and ability to perform in a demanding environment.
