Maintenance & Automation Engineer – Plant Maintenance (Boon Lay)

About the role

The company is seeking a Maintenance & Automation Engineer to join its plant operations in Boon Lay. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and leading a team of technicians in a heavy‑manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance to keep production running smoothly.
• Lead and supervise technicians in preventive maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of plant machinery.
• Develop, plan, and schedule maintenance activities that support safe and efficient operations.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory to guarantee availability of critical components.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and service providers for technical support and parts procurement.
• Monitor equipment performance and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, maintenance procedures, and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in a heavy‑manufacturing or steel‑industry setting.
• Proven ability to lead a maintenance team and manage plant‑level projects.
• Valid driving licence is preferred.
