Maintenance Engineer

About the role

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliable operation of building systems, industrial equipment, and tenant services. You will work within the Engineering and Technical Services function, providing preventive maintenance, repairs, and project delivery for both new and existing facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee tenant and building services in line with the Site Service Matrix, managing costs and service levels.
• Execute day‑to‑day field services, ensuring compliance with client corporate expectations, OIMS/SSH&E/CIMS requirements, and local regulations.
• Maintain regular communication with Business Unit personnel to resolve issues and ensure service satisfaction.
• Deliver maintenance projects for new or modified facilities and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives based on operational data.
• Lead safety, security, health, and environmental (SSHE) processes for assigned activities.
• Manage routine services such as pest control, landscaping, fire‑alarm system maintenance, and other facility services.
• Track and close corrective work orders, facilities requests, and preventive tasks in the Nuvolo system on schedule.
• Develop and implement technical solutions to operational problems while maintaining up‑to‑date records.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4‑5 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Prior supervisory or shift‑manager experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and safety awareness.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of facility‑management technical disciplines and relevant codes.
• Familiarity with OIMS, CIMS, and the Nuvolo work‑order system.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, corrective work‑order tracking, and contractor/vendor management.
• Understanding of SSHE processes and regulatory compliance.
