Manager, Business Development - Strategy & Performance

About the role

The Manager, Business Development will support business growth by servicing key client accounts, identifying new commercial opportunities, and providing data‑driven insights to inform account and market strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare account plans and support the development and execution of account strategies.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships and generate incremental business.
• Structure customised pitches, business propositions, and proposals based on client needs and data‑driven insights.
• Support onboarding of new clients and activation of new products, services, and joint marketing initiatives.
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to translate business needs into commercially relevant solutions.
• Use business, financial, and marketing analytics to identify performance drivers, emerging trends, business gaps, and growth opportunities.
• Translate analytical findings into clear insights for the Country Manager, Account Managers, and clients.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Marketing, Product, Digital, Finance, and Operations to deliver client and business initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Technology, Marketing, Statistics, or related discipline; advanced degree advantageous.
• Experience in business development, account management, business analytics, consulting, or client service.
• Strong analytical capabilities, commercial acumen, and strategic planning skills.
• Ability to translate complex business and analytical information into clear presentations and actionable recommendations.
• Track record of executing initiatives and projects to achieve desired business outcomes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, problem‑solving, and organisational skills.
• Broad understanding of the payments landscape and commercial economics; prior experience in banking, payments, financial services, or consulting preferred.
