Manager, Corporate Development

About the role

NHG is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) professional to lead the hospital's ERM framework, champion a risk-aware culture and drive risk-informed strategic planning, corporate governance and AI-enabled process transformation. The Manager leads the hospital's risk management and corporate planning processes in support of senior leadership, ensuring risk and strategy are well integrated, and oversees corporate governance, process innovation and secretariat functions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the ERM process end-to-end: maintain the risk register, run risk review sessions and ensure timely escalation and reporting to senior leadership and governance committees
• Promote a risk-aware culture so risk considerations are embedded in strategic planning and decision-making
• Lead development and cascade of strategic plans and the Balanced Scorecard, manage the annual Work Plan and enterprise planning cycle
• Support the Senior Management Team with strategic retreats, planning offsites and corporate communications such as townhalls and corporate reports
• Oversee corporate secretariat, coordinate key management committee appointments and develop policies aligned with governance frameworks
• Improve corporate workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Use AI and digital tools to improve planning and risk processes, and redesign governance workflows
• Act as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on planning and risk matters, and support VIP visit coordination

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in healthcare administration, public policy, risk management or a related discipline
• At least 5 years in healthcare management with a demonstrated track record in ERM; additional corporate planning experience is an advantage
• Ability to lead and develop a small team

Required skills

• Hands-on ERM experience: risk frameworks, risk registers and reporting to senior leadership
• Exposure to strategic planning cycles and balanced scorecards is beneficial
• Analytical, project management and communication skills
