Manager, Planning & Strategy

About the role

The Planning & Strategy team at IMDA is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking manager to help build a strong talent pipeline. You will develop strategies for tech and media talent, engage with key players and ensure the curriculum stays at the top level for future technology.

Key responsibilities

• Develop tech and media talent strategies that keep pace with emerging developments
• Coordinate efforts across policy interventions in pre-employment training, continuing education and training, scholarships and global manpower
• Research, interpret and forecast trends in the tech and media talent landscape, identifying new jobs and skills in demand
• Turn data into strategic insights that support evidence-based policymaking
• Communicate IMDA's position on tech talent through various communication and engagement channels
• Manage and coordinate strategic resources
• Develop the cluster's workplan, track and review performance outcomes, and report to management

Required profile

• 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in planning or strategy work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to prepare analysis, assessments and presentations clearly and concisely
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working independently and in teams
• Advantageous: experience in a public sector organisation or the tech industry in industry development and manpower policy and planning
• Advantageous: experience tabling proposals and communicating with senior stakeholders such as senior management and political office holders
