Manager / Senior Manager – Energy Division (Shipping)

About the role

We are seeking a Manager / Senior Manager to lead our Energy Division within a global shipping and logistics group. The role involves driving business growth, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders across Singapore and the Asia/Oceania region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop business opportunities for the Energy Division in Singapore and the Asia/Oceania market.
• Represent the division, building and maintaining relationships with current and prospective clients.
• Collaborate with commercial shipping and vessel operations teams while leading new projects as project manager.
• Provide direction, support, and mentorship to local staff across the region.
• Monitor energy policies and market conditions, delivering regular insights to senior management and headquarters in Tokyo.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties to support evolving business needs.

Required profile

• Degree in Maritime Studies or a related field (preferred).
• Expertise in vessel ownership, management, chartering, and operations across any vessel type.
• Proven project‑management experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Business experience in energy supply chains (preferred) and tender bidding.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, ship financing, and cash‑flow analysis.
• Proactive, transparent working style and strong team orientation.
