Manager, TAL Operations & Engagement (Contract)

About the role

The Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), a cluster of NParks, safeguards the health and welfare of animals in Singapore and acts as the first responder for animal-related feedback. This contract role is part of the team managing operations and engagement at The Animal Lodge (TAL), a facility within the Education and Engagement Branch.

Key responsibilities

• Support tenancy, projects and estate management work
• Support operational work, including setting up engagement sessions, general administration such as secretarial support and process reviews, and procuring services
• Engage tenants and the public on TAL-related matters and manage feedback
• Coordinate with stakeholders such as animal groups, contractors and tenants, and work cohesively within AVS to keep operations running smoothly
• Carry out other assignments or projects as required

Required profile

• Experience in volunteer coordination, outreach, community engagement, partnerships and/or communications-related work is an advantage
• Good written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal and management and coordination skills
• Independent, self-motivated, meticulous and enthusiastic, able to work well in a team
• Positive attitude, energetic and passionate about animals
• Comfortable working in close proximity with animals
• Willing to work outdoors, after office hours and on weekends when required
