Manufacturing Engineer - Special Process

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer for special processes supports and improves incoming inspection and special process activities related to industrial gas turbine component repair. The role covers incoming part condition reports, the Auto Inspection System (AIS), incoming blue light scanning and other inspections, with a focus on safety and quality compliance, operational support, process cross qualification and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support incoming inspection report review, the auto inspection system, incoming blue light scanning and NDT inspections.
• Conduct cross-qualification of special processes related to incoming inspection for gas turbine component repair.
• Drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, quality standards and engineering specifications.
• Work with the Engineering team on technical and operational issues.
• Identify and implement projects to improve production quality and process performance.
• Support operations with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem solving.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Material Engineering with at least 3 years of work experience.
• Experience with special processes such as thermal spraying, heat treatment and chemical processing.
• Familiarity with process qualification, validation and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards.
