Manufacturing Program Manager

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Manufacturing Program Manager in Singapore. The role leads manufacturing transition programs, factory ramp-up projects and manufacturing readiness activities for new and existing products, coordinating across Operations, Manufacturing, NPI, Supply Chain and Logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product transition between Austin and Singapore, factory ramp-up projects and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Coordinate with Operations, Manufacturing, NPI, Supply Chain and Logistics on cross-functional strategic programs, and act as central owner of manufacturing transition programs.
• Drive execution to meet cost, quality, delivery and capacity targets.
• Develop manufacturing line designs and scalable production strategies, and run productivity improvement initiatives.
• Manage program risks, dependencies, schedules and stakeholder communications.
• Use project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, checklists, Smartsheet and scheduling software to manage schedules and tasks.
• Supervise allocated resources from other organizations to deliver on time and within budget.
• Ensure documentation of project, program and process development phases and reporting to other functions.
• Support MDP Singapore's targets, including large-impact shortages, outsource vendor delivery coordination and high-risk part mitigation, and back up MDP leadership when needed.

Required profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in large-scale project and program management in technology strategy implementation (e.g. ERP, analytics, supply chain technology, manufacturing, NPI transition, AI/ML).
• Additional functional experience in Operations and Supply Chain is viewed favorably.
• Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices, lead teams or projects, solve complex problems and communicate difficult concepts.
• Willingness to wear clean-room PPE such as coveralls, hoods, boots, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons and face shields.
